Kibondeni is a college of catering and hospitality aimed at equipping young women from all over Kenya with the technical and human skills required to pursue a career in the hospitality industry. It started in 1961 as a project of Kianda Foundation. Like all the Kianda Foundation projects, Kibondeni offers bursaries to qualified girls in financial difficulties. In the year 2000 it was transferred to Nurisha Trust, an off-shoot of Kianda Foundation, for purposes of decentralization.
